A pet chihuahua has been given a punk rock neon ʙᴀᴛᴛʟᴇ suit to protect him from local hawks. The futuristic and eye-catching ensemble was given to Diamond the dog, who weighs in at just 8lbs and was getting tired of birds of ᴘʀᴇʏ trying to ɴᴀʙ him.
Diamond’s owner decided to take matters into their own hands and dress the beloved pet up in a sᴛʀɪᴋɪɴɢ neon vest which is covered in spikes in a bid to deter predators. The dog collar also has metal spikes and a fan of plastic sticks along the ridge of the back. They are attached to the animal with Velcro and have additional protective add-ons including hawk eyes.
The image has now been widely shared on social media, wracking up thousands of comments on Reddit.
One posted: “I took my puppy hiking today for the first time and a vulture was circling us. We weren’t dead so I figured I was ok but I wondered wtf I could do if they tried to swoop my one piece nugget.”

And the distinct colourful outfit is designed to make the wearer look strange and therefore ward off potential ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋs – and has the added bonus of creating a miniature punk pet. Realizing the need to protect pets, many companies have launched many protective products for consumers to choose from.
