‘Beautiful’ little Mika is currently in the care of Love4Dogs Rescue in Dorset, after a kind- ʜᴇᴀʀᴛᴇᴅ ᴠᴇᴛ sᴀᴠᴇᴅ ʜᴇʀ fʀᴏᴍ ᴀʙᴜsᴇʀs in Romania and nursed her back to health.

A small dog who was ᴛɪᴇᴅ ᴜᴘ ᴀɴᴅ ʙᴇᴀᴛᴇɴ. She had been ʙᴇᴀᴛᴇɴ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴏɪɴᴛ ʜᴇʀ ʀɪɢʜᴛ ᴇʏᴇ ᴡᴀs ʀᴏᴛᴛɪɴɢ ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴇᴄᴀʏᴇᴅ fᴏʀ ʏᴇᴀʀs ʙᴇfᴏʀᴇ ʙᴇɪɴɢ ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇᴅ is now ready to find a place to call home.
Six-year-old Mika is ” the most beautiful little soul”, despite ʟᴏsɪɴɢ her right eye after ᴛᴏʀᴛᴜʀᴏᴜs ᴀʙᴜsᴇ in the streets of Romania. She was ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇᴅ from her ᴀʙᴜsᴇʀs four years ago, and finally made it to the UK this month to be fostered by Sharon Love, 48, based in Poole, Dorset.When Sharon first fostered Mika, she had a fear of the lead and “would ᴘᴀɴɪᴄ ɪf sʜᴇ Fᴇʟᴛ ᴀ ᴛᴜɢ “, but has now ʀᴇᴄᴏᴠᴇʀᴇᴅ fʀᴏᴍ ʜᴇʀ ᴛʀᴀᴜᴍᴀ and is looking for a forever family.
Sharon said: “Mika must be one of the most fᴏʀɢɪᴠɪɴɢ sᴏᴜʟs I’ve met. I thought she’d be more ᴡᴀʀʏ of people but she is extremely friendly and loves humans and dogs.”Mika was tied up outside a garage in Romania and ᴛᴏʀᴛᴜʀᴇᴅ before a vet ɪɴᴛᴇʀᴠᴇɴᴇᴅ ᴀɴᴅ sᴀᴠᴇᴅ her four years ago. He cleaned her up and took her to a Romanian ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇ sʜᴇʟᴛᴇʀ , where Sharon met her on a visit.
The vet was ʜᴇsɪᴛᴀɴᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴏᴘᴇʀᴀᴛᴇ on Mika’s eye, so it wasn’t until she finally Fʟᴇᴡ to the UK earlier this month, that she had sᴜʀɢᴇʀʏ.
“Her eye was already gone but we wanted to close the wound over so it wouldn’t get ɪɴfᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ,” Sharon said.
Supporters of Love4Dogs Rescue rallied together to raise £800 to cover the ᴏᴘᴇʀᴀᴛɪᴏɴ.
Mika was “good as gold” during and after the ᴏᴘᴇʀᴀᴛɪᴏɴ, and her eye has now ʜᴇᴀʟᴇᴅ, meaning she is ready to find a ᴘᴇʀᴍᴀɴᴇɴᴛ place to call home. She can live alongside children, cats and other dogs, and is ᴍɪᴄʀᴏᴄʜɪᴘᴘᴇᴅ, ᴠᴀᴄᴄɪɴᴀᴛᴇᴅ ᴀɴᴅ sᴘᴀʏᴇᴅ.
