Messy and his human, Oranit Kittragul, live in Thailand. In the same neighborhood just across the street lives Audi, a Husky who is ᴀʟᴏɴᴇ most of the day while his human is at work. Being ᴀʟᴏɴᴇ makes Audi a little sᴀᴅ and ᴀɴxɪᴏᴜs, and whenever he feels that his friend feels a little too ᴀʟᴏɴᴇ, Messy barks at him and that somehow calms Audi. Oranit said: “When he feels ʟᴏɴᴇʟʏ and ᴄʀɪᴇs, I always ask my dog to see and talk to him. My dog just looks from my fence and sometime he barks to Audi. I don’t know what they are communicating, but he stops crying.”

One time, Audi’s human forgot to secure the gate while leaving for work and the dog ran out to go visit Messy for the very first time. Oranit saw the two greet and hug each other, and took a photo of that adorable moment to share it online. This was their first time seeing each other, face to face, but their bond was as strong as they had been friends for a lifetime. Audi is a good boy, though, and knew he wasn’t supposed to stay out of his yard for too long, and that’s why after saying hi to his friend, e quickly ran back home. Oranit said: “He ran to my dog and they hugged each other. Snapping a photo of that tender moment.”

The sweet embrace between the two dogs was a brief one, as Audi was returned home. But it revealed that their bond is deeper than Oranit had realized before, forged despite the distance that divides them. Whenever Audi barks and ᴄʀɪᴇs, Messy would bark and Audy would calm down, perhaps comforted at the thought that he is not ᴀʟᴏɴᴇ. This good boy is Messy, a yellow lab who lives in Thailand with his human, Oranit Kittragul. Messy has been doing a great job comforting his friend Audi, a Husky who lives across the street who feels sᴀᴅ and ᴀʟᴏɴᴇ whenever his human is at work.

Given the connection between them, we hope the dogs’ owners will make arrangements for them to regularly get together to socialize face-to-face — but in the meantime, it’s heartening to know Messy’s kindness toward Audi has already blossomed into a beautiful friendship.
