French Mastiff Cruelly Bᴜʀɪᴇᴅ Aʟɪᴠᴇ In Dirt By Abusive Owner And Left To Dɪᴇ

Some humans are capable of such monstrous acts that make the rest of us ashamed of belonging to the same species. Animals are so much better than people. In the wilderness, they ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ   because they are hungry or frightened – never ᴋɪʟʟ or ᴛᴏʀᴛᴜʀᴇ  for pleasure.

The poor dog that we are going to tell you about today is unfortunately owned by a sadistic and eccentric man. He enjoyed ᴛᴏʀᴛᴜʀɪɴɢ her by ʙᴜʀʏɪɴɢ her ᴀʟɪᴠᴇ  and tying her up to prevent her from escaping. This is an inhumane owner.

This French Mastiff was not ready to Dɪᴇ yet, she was still fighting to survive and hoping someone would find her and saved her. Luckily, animal lover Pedro Dinis was walking his dog, a pit bull, on a dump in Carrieres-sur-Seine when he spotted her. When his dog was behaving strangely, Dinis suddenly noticed something sticking out of the dirt, it was a living dog.

The poor dog was surrounded by stones with its head attached to a bag of gravel to prevent it from escaping. Dinis knew he needed to take action immediately. In order not to hurt or panic her, he used his hands to shovel the dirt out and he also gave her water to rehydrate her. She was extremely calm during the rescue.

After being rescued, the dog was named Athena and was immediately taken to a veterinary hospital for care. Athena was very weak and dehydrated but thankfully she was out of danger. However, the vet also found that she had many signs of arthritis due to her constant abuse and had to treat her. During her days of care and rehabilitation, Athena was adopted by the Delfosse grandparents and will live happily in her new home.

Authorities later found Athena’s owner, who was responsible for this heinous act. He denied his behavior and said she ran away. However, the evidence contradicts his words. A dog with arthritis can’t run away and can’t bury itself under a pile of dirt. Ultimately, he was charged with cruelty to animals and faced two years in prison and a fine of more than $30,000.
